This project modernized the existing 13,500 Sq. Ft. Bus Maintenance Facility for the Bellingham School District. Originally built in 1957, the structure could not be removed and replaced due to its proximity to Whatcom Creek. The School District favors the site due to its central location, so the decision was made to modernize the existing facility.
Work included all new and modernized mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems along with data, communications, and security. The work also included a new exterior envelope, the addition of 3 in-floor vehicle lifts, a new fluids delivery system and a new mezzanine within the existing structure.
