Occupying an abandoned ice arena, this tenant improvement project for the Port of Bellingham includes 40,000 square feet of manufacturing area, 10,000 square feet of offices, and an additional 10,000 square feet of future office area. The two-story office end of the building was completely remodeled, including cutting in new window openings, installation of two-story high glass storefronts, re-siding with horizontal metal siding, sidewalks and landscaping. The former ice arena received a new concrete topping slab and new loading docks.
The tenant improvements are for a worldwide manufacturer of wood- and gas-fired pizza ovens. Improvements include a glassed-in “show kitchen” featuring an interchangeable display of ovens, with adjacent corporate office facilities. The manufacturing portion of the building includes casting, welding, assembly, painting, and shipping and receiving areas.
